Striking antique-style Tibetan/Himalayan necklace composed of individually made coral with turquoise inlay and metal detailing. Each bead is constructed in layered bands, with small irregular blue inlays set into darker matrix sections, creating the distinctive mosaic appearance associated with traditional Himalayan ornament.
The beads display substantial age-related surface wear, patination, small losses and irregularities, giving the necklace considerable character. Particularly appealing are the old metal pendant elements and warm-toned metal spacer beads incorporated into the stringing.
