63x90 Anatolian Mohair Blanket
Beautiful traditional Anatolian wool blanket, believed to date to the early 20th century, featuring a thick, densely woven and fulled wool construction in natural ivory and charcoal-brown tones.
Measuring approximately **90 × 63 inches (7′6″ × 5′3″)**, this substantial blanket is constructed from two separately woven panels joined lengthwise with a prominent central seam, characteristic of traditional narrow-loom textile production.
The minimalist design features two widely spaced groups of dark longitudinal stripes against a creamy ivory ground. The contrasting colors appear consistent with naturally colored sheep's wool, lending the textile an understated, rustic appearance.
The blanket is exceptionally thick and heavy, with a dense, felt-like wool surface that would have provided excellent insulation. Its slightly irregular weaving, hand-joined construction, and textured edges reflect traditional village textile-making techniques.
