Antique 19thc Afghan Baluch Tribal Rug – 45" x 75" Heavily Distressed Boho Textile / Wall Hanging (c. 1890s-1910s)

Authentic, beautifully aged antique Afghan Baluch tribal rug, dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century. Hand-woven by nomadic artisans using 100% hand-spun wool and organic vegetable dyes, this piece features a classic geometric medallion pattern down the center field and traditional kilim-weave patterned ends.

Measuring 45" x 75" (approx. 3.75 ft x 6.25 ft), this piece possesses an incredible, raw historical character that cannot be replicated. It features a rich palette of terracotta, rust, deep indigo blues, and natural cream tones that have aged beautifully over the last century.

STYLING IDEAS:

Because of its rich history and severe wear, this is a prime decorative textile rather than a utilitarian floor piece. Its size makes it absolutely perfect for:

• An eye-catching, rustic wall tapestry installation.

• A dramatic throw over the back of a leather sofa, bench, or large table.

• An upscale upcycling project—ideal for harvesting into multiple high-end tribal throw pillows or upholstery fragments.

CONDITION REPORT (Please Read Carefully):

This piece is being sold "As-Is" / Heavily Distressed to preserve its historical integrity.

• The Backside: As shown in the photos, the tight, hand-knotted back structure is remarkably intact and well-preserved across the main body, with no dye bleeding.

• The Front/Pile: The face wool has worn down to the bare foundation threads across major portions of the pattern, giving it a stunning low-pile, high-contrast look.

• Structural Issues: There are visible holes, sections of missing borders, an active horizontal split forming across the upper section under tension, and heavily frayed ends/fringes.

Please review all photos closely, as they are the best representation of the rug's beautiful, historic wear. If you are looking for a pristine, brand-new floor mat, this is not the piece for you. If you love authentic, century-old tribal soul and weathered texture, this runner is a spectacular find.
